This is to make you aware of something that has happened to our daughter.
After undergoing a surgical biopsy on 7/17/2025, She was recently diagnosed with Uterine Cancer.
On August 4th, she underwent 3 1/2 hours of surgery for a total hysterectomy, plus the removal of multiple lymph nodes.
According to the gynecological oncologist and the pathology report, she will also need both radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
On Tuesday, August 27th, we met with the radiation oncologist. The radiation treatment was explained.
On September 8th, she will have a port surgically implanted, which will be used for blood draws, medications and the actual chemotherapy.
Sometime mid September, she will begin the actual radiation treatments which will be 5 times per week for a total of 27 treatments.
She will also begin chemotherapy about the same time.
She will receive at minimum 3-5 chemotherapy treatments.
We are awaiting an appointment to be made with the chemotherapy oncologist.
As this is a very stressful time, I cannot work on my blogs, as all of my time and attention is for my daughter.
