Get it right, and you\u2019re in for a fight. Get it wrong, and the fish will ignore or even actively avoid you.<\/span><\/p>\n

The problem is, that you have so many options for baiting your hook that it can be tough to know where to start.<\/span><\/p>\n

Types of Fishing Bait<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

When most people think of fishing bait, they probably imagine a worm dangling off the end of a hook. <\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a classic, but it\u2019s just one example of one kind of bait.<\/span><\/p>\n

For worms or crabs, that\u2019s pretty simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, bait fish need to be kept in clean, oxygen-rich water. That’s fine on a boat with a live well, but more complicated if you\u2019re fishing on foot.<\/span><\/p>\n

And all that\u2019s just maintenance. You also need to use the right bait for the species you\u2019re after and the waters you’re fishing in.<\/span><\/p>\n
