Mesothelioma is a silent killer that lies in wait for decades in your body before finally making its presence known and causing fatal results.

It is a form of cancer that is very rare. But since it is so rare, most people have never heard of the disease and its symptoms.

Mesothelioma is a cancer that affects the Mesothelium. The Mesothelium is a protective lining that covers all of the body’s internal organs as well as lines the inside of the abdomen. While it covers all of the organs, the most common organs affected are the lungs and heart.

Mesothelioma or more precisely, malignant mesothelioma) is a rare form of cancer that develops from cells of the mesothelium, the protective lining that covers many of the internal organs of the body.

Mesothelioma is most commonly caused by exposure to asbestos.

The most common anatomical site for mesothelioma is the pleura (the outer lining of the lungs and internal chest wall), but it can also arise in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), the pericardium (the sac that surrounds the heart), or the tunica vaginalis (a sac that surrounds the testis).
