Because of the potential extreme danger that food allergies pose to the public, it is vital that people look into this matter in a more serious light.

According to statistics, millions of people and probably more around the world were affected by food allergies.

Furthermore, 200 people in the United States alone are reported to die yearly due to illnesses acquired from food allergies.

Most common foods that people are usually allergic to include:

Nuts – include walnuts, peanuts, pecan, and other tree nuts

Shellfish and seafood – crab, shrimp, lobster, oyster, fish, and others

Allergies (Type I Hypersensitivity) are actually a malfunction of our immune system that triggers our body to become hypersensitive and react immunologically to typically non-immunogenic substances.

The substances that cause our bodies to become this way are called allergens.

Signs and Symptoms

You know your allergies are starting if you experience swelling in parts of your body.

This is called local or systemic inflammatory response, caused by the presence of allergens.

For instance, if your allergies affect you in the nose, you will experience swelling of the nasal mucosa (allergic rhinitis).

A stroke, sometimes referred to as a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), cerebrovascular insult (CVI), or colloquially brain attack is the loss of brain function due to a disturbance in the blood supply to the brain.

This disturbance is due to either ischemia (lack of blood flow) or hemorrhage.

Ischemia is caused by either blockage of a blood vessel via thrombosis or arterial embolism, or by systemic hypoperfusion.

Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by bleeding of blood vessels of the brain, either directly into the brain parenchyma or into the subarachnoid space surrounding brain tissue.

Sexually transmitted infections are quite commonly experienced by men and women who are sexually active.

Recent statistics indicate that the number of people suffering from sexually transmitted infections is increasing at an alarming rate.

These infections can be contracted through unprotected vaginal, oral or anal intercourse.

You can contract these infections by sharing your sex toys with an infected person as well.

Men and women who have multiple sex partners or frequently change their sex partners are at a greater risk of developing such sexually transmitted infections.

It is known to everyone that cigarette smoking is harmful and addictive.

But very few know the risks of cigarette addiction.

Smoking inflicts the body with many irreversible damages and reduces the human life span by up to 25 years.

Effects of Smoking on Body:

Heart: Smoking is the biggest risk factor for all heart diseases. It accelerates the process of fat deposition in the inner walls of arteries (atherosclerosis).

It increases blood pressure and heart rate. Not only these, but smoking also increases the tendency for the blood to clot.
